Obituary of James (Jim) McArthur Davis

Mr. James (Jim) McArthur Davis, age 80 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Friday, April 29,2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be conducted on Tuesday, May 3, at 11:00AM at the Dyer First Assembly of God  with Bro. Greg Davis and Bro. Mark Kirkpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Kenton, Tennessee.

He was born April 27, 1942 in Savannah, Tennessee; the son of the late Joe H. and Jessie Pauline Copeland Davis. He was an over road truck driver for McCurdy Sod until his retirement.

He is survived by loving wife Linda Davis;  two sons, Greg Davis (Nancy) and Mark Davis (Jean); a sister, Janice Dodd; a brother, Jerry Davis; four grandchildren, Brittney Lott, Colton Davis, Ashley Davis, and Anna Grace Davis; and three great-grandchildren, Isaiah Lott, Jaxton Davis, and Kylan Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, May 2, at the Dyer First Assembly of God . Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. James (Jim) McArthur Davis.
