Dennis Jefferson Keathley, age 77 of Rutherford, TN, passed from this life on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Graveside services for Mr. Keathley will be held Monday, February 7, 2022, at 11:00am at Crockett Mills Christian Church Cemetery.

He was born May 10, 1944, to Clyde and Alice Keathley.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tommie Sue Keathley. Dennis and Tommie Sue enjoyed 55 years of marriage. Dennis also leaves behind a daughter, Donna Inman of Sidney, Ohio; and two sons, Randy Whitby of Springfield, TN, and Jeff Whitby (Sherry) of Trenton, TN. He was blessed with six grandchildren, Cory Inman (Kelly), Jennifer Koester (Brandon), Hunter Whitby (Cori), Hayden Whitby (Meagan), Tucker Whitby (Katie), and Taylor Whitby (Samantha). His special blessings were his great grandchildren, Karter and Kailey Koester, Hanna and Parker Inman, Brady Whitby, Brelynn Burger, Braxton Whitby, McKinley and Jamison Whitby.

Dennis retired from Goodyear in Union City where he began his career as a tire builder and then served several years as a supervisor. He was a member of First Baptist Church Rutherford where he served as a deacon and attended faithful until his health declined. He enjoyed duck hunting, gun and knife shows, and spending time outdoors. He loved his family dearly. He was devoted husband and father.
