Winfred Graves

Mr. Winfred Graves, age 92, of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on August 27, 2013, at the Dyer Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mr. Graves will be conducted on Sunday, September 1, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Kenton. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery of Kenton. Mr. Graves was born December 10, 1920, in Obion County, Tennessee; the son of the late William and Della Couthrine Graves. He worked in highway construction before retirement. Mr. Graves is survived by his son, Jackie Graves and wife Theresa of Martin; stepson, Denny West of Jackson; grandchildren, Monica Brewer of Chicago, Illinois, William Jeffery Paris of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Hope Horde of Martin. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Mandalin Brewer, Montana Brewer, and Megan Brewer of Chicago, Illinois; Kayla Paris and Chloe Paris, of Ft. Worth, Texas; Brittney Burress, Brooklyn Burress, and Corey Burress of Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Willie May Burress, Agnes Jordan, Mozell Cooper, and Ellen Ray; and a brother, Madison Graves. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, August 31. Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Kenton is honored to serve the family of Mr. Winfred Graves.
