Winford Swink

Winford C. “Red” Swink, age 82 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on January 21, 2016, at his home with his family. Funeral services for Mr. Swink will be conducted on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer with Bro. Tom Bullock, Bro. Randy Mutter, Bro. Don Barnett, officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, in Dyer, Tn. Mr. Swink was born November 11, 1933 in Gibson Co. Tn.; the son of the late Ralph and Louise Rutledge Swink. Mr. Swink was a retired Plumber, and Custodian for the Dyer First United Methodist Church for 35 years, and Brown Shoe Company. He served his country with the US Air Force. Mr. Swink is survived by his wife Frankie Swink, three sons, Bill Swink, Ronnie Swink, David Swink and wife Jeri, two sisters, Rebecca Greer and husband Don, Ruth Miller and husband Connie, one brother Phillip Swink and wife Sharon. Mr. Swink was preceded in death by parents. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 pm. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 in the chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Dyer.
