Mrs. Wilsie Faye Freeman Cooper, age 85, of Harrison, Tennessee, passed away from this life on April 1, 2014, at Memorial Health Care in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Funeral services for Mrs. Cooper will be conducted on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kenton United Methodist Church with Bro. John Varden officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery of Kenton.
Mrs. Cooper was born September 10, 1928, in Gainesville, Arkansas; the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hermon and Ora Mai Davie Freeman. She retired as a nurse at Obion County Hospital.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by sons, Edward Cooper, Jimmy Cooper and wife Diane; daughters, Julia Freeman and husband Jim, Susan Beene and husband Charles; grandchildren, Michael Ellis, Paul Cooper (Annalyn), Chris Cooper, Rhiann Cooper, Sally Gill (Andrew), Scott Cooper, Amber Freeman; great-grandchildren, Evan Ellis, Ethan Ellis, Logan Ellis, Angelo Cooper, Leon Cooper, Ryu Cooper; also dear to her heart children, Riley Jo and Molly Tate, Cody and Macy Little, and Wendy Tate.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Paris Cooper; grandchild, Terri Ellis; brothers, James Freeman, Dale Freeman; and sister, Naomia Buchanan.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, April 5 at the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Kenton. We are honored to serve the family of Mrs. Wilsie Cooper.
