Wilma Wayne Holt

Wilma Nicholson Holt, age 93, passed away October 12, 2020, at JMCGH with Covid-19.  She was born August 21, 1927, and was preceded in death by her parents, Frances “Fannie” and Garland Nicholson Sr.; her husband, Billy Holt; and brother, Garland Junior Nicholson (Evelyn).

She started her career at the Milan Arsenal after high school. After her marriage, she worked for the Production Credit Association, before retiring from the Brown Shoe in Dyer as an office clerk. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir, and being a member of the John Wesley Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Holt is survived by son, Dr. William Terry Holt (Judy) of Jackson, TN; grandchildren, Dr. Lee Holt (Sarah) of Nesbit, MS, and Kendall Wiley, JD (Matt), of Tupelo, MS; three great grandchildren, Ellanore, Holt, and Lynnlee Wiley; nephew, Mike Nicholson (Mary Nelle); and great nephew, Jason Nicholson and his daughter Kate.

Due to Covid-19, graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Dyer, TN on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 11:00 am for family and close friends.  Bro. Randy Mutter will officiate.
