Wilma Maxine Hollis King

Mrs. Maxine H. King, age 97 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Jackson Madison County Hospital. Graveside services for Mrs. King will be conducted on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 1PM in Rutherford Cemetery with Bro. Steve Skelton officiating. 

She was born February 2, 1928, in Gibson County, TN; the daughter of the late Mark Edward & Connie Oberta (Tharp) Hollis. She retired from Kellwood and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Trenton. 

She is survived by nieces, Ann Kemp, and Dianne Watt; and a host of great nieces and nephews, who loved and adored her dearly. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward King; two brothers, LD Hollis, Mark Edward Hollis Jr.; and sister, Sarah Lois (Hollis) Harris.
