Willie Arrington

Mrs. Willie Madge Gravett Brown Arrington, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at her home, with her loving family. Funeral services for Mrs. Arrington will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Rutherford. Burial will be in the Rutherford Cemetery with Bro. Brian Howard and Bro. Corey Meggs officiating. Mrs. Arrington was born on August 21, 1922, to the late E.D. Gravett and Eloyse Perkins Gravett. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Perry Brown, and husbands, Jim Brown and Eugene Arrington, and two sisters, Martha McCullar, Maxine Amlingmeyer. Mrs. Arrington was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and a retired employee of the Kellwood Company in Rutherford. Mrs. Arrington is survived by one daughter, Malinda Alford and husband Wallace; three step-children, George Arrington and wife Nancy; Kathy Arrington and Luis Braz Ruivo; and David Arrington and wife Anne; three grandchildren, Johnny Alford, Missy Howard, and Jenny McKinney; one step-grandchild, Desirae Rice; ten great-grandchildren; and one step-great grandchild. Visitation for Mrs. Arrington will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Rutherford.
