William Stone

Mr. William “Billy” Stone, age 85, of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on July 24, 2014, at the Dyer Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mr. Stone will be conducted on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Rutherford. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery of Rutherford, Tennessee. Mr. Stone was born June 10, 1929, in Weakley County, Tennessee; the son of the late Crescent City and Ida Mae Clark Stone. Mr. Stone was a farm laborer. Mr. Stone is survived by sons, Roy Stone and wife Peggy, Shannon Stone and wife Sandra; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Charles Stone. He was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, Ida Leona Bates Stone; three sisters; and son, Daniel Stone. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 25.
