Mr. William McKinley Huey, age 101 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on May 5, 2017, at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Huey will be conducted on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Kenton with Bro. John Garner officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, in Kenton.
Mr. Huey was born April 12, 1916 in Obion County, Tennessee; the son of the late William J. and Stella (Gray) Huey. He was a ship builder during World War II at Jeffersonville Indiana Shipyard, and retired as a farmer and landowner.
He is survived by his three children, Phyllis Huey, Daniel Huey, and Amos Huey; one sister, Ann Hardy; six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Mr. Huey was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maxine Huey; daughter, Barbara Huey; siblings, James Huey, Rayburn Huey, Maureen Bennett, and Helen Garrett.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00pm, Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. William McKinley Huey.
