Willard Dean Griffin

Willard Dean Griffin, age 89 of Dresden, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Hillview Community Living Center. Funeral services for Mr. Griffin will be conducted on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 2PM in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Prestininzi officiating. Interment will follow in Bells Chapel Cemetery.

He was born September 3, 1934, in Weakley County, TN; the son of the late Henry & Flossie (Taylor) Griffin. He retired from Replogle Sawmill as a laborer and was of the Church of Christ faith.

He is survived by son, Wendell Griffin; daughter, Virginia Griffin; brother, Jerry Griffin; two grandchildren, Billy Griffin (Shayla), Tammy Odom; and six great-grandchildren, Haley Griffin, Andrew Bell, Peyton Bell, Jaclyn Fisette, Ashley Odom, and Silas Griffin. He was preceded in death by grandson, Michael Griffin.

Pallbearers are Wendell Griffin, Peyton Bell, Andrew Bell, Bobby Joyce, Joseph Newcomb, and Billy Griffin.

The family will receive friends from 11AM-2PM on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Willard Dean Griffin.
