Virgil Barton Frye

Virgil Barton “Bart” Frye, age 88 of Trimble, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Union City. Funeral services for Mr. Frye will be conducted on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Yorkville Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Criswell officiating. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery in Mason Hall.

He was born August 4, 1932, in Newbern, TN; the son of the late Luther & Sarah Moran Frye. He retired as a salesman with Paymaster Corp. He served his country with the US Navy.  

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Frye; two children, Kenneth Wayne Frye, Michael Frye (Brenda); five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter in law, Sue Frances Frye; and grandson, David Frye.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Yorkville Bethel Baptist Church for visitation. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Virgil Barton “Bart” Frye.
