Vernelle Sturdivant

Mrs. Vernelle Cherry Sturdivant, age 89, of Mason Hall Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the Dyer Nursing Home. Funeral service for Mrs. Sturdivant will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Kenton, Tennessee with Bro. Larry Simmons and Bro. Darrell Morgan officiating. Mrs. Sturdivant was born on January 15, 1925 to the late Tom and Amanda Morgan Cherry. Mrs. Sturdivant was retired form Sears and Roebuck Company, and a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Mrs. Sturdivant was preceded in death by one son, Mickey Sturdivant. Mrs. Sturdivant is survived by her husband, Donnie Sturdivant, two sons, Terry Sturdivant and wife Susie, and Larry Sturdivant, three grandchildren, Lori Sturdivant, Mari Beth Casson, Tim Workman and wife Tabby; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Sturdivant will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Kenton, Tennessee.
