V.L. Williamson

Mr. V.L. Williamson, age 96 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt. Funeral services for Mr. Williamson will be conducted on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 12:00 pm in the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Shawn Allred officiating. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery.

He was born April 18, 1925 in Lake County, TN; the son of the late Verner & Daisy Phebus Williamson. He was a supervisor for the Texas Gas Company and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kenton. He served his country with the US Navy.  Military honors will be observed.

He is survived by two children, Deborah Tyler (Mickey) of Collierville, Glenn Williamson (Sue) of Munford; sister-in-law, Evelyn Rudd; three grandchildren, Regan McIntosh, Brandon Tyler, Whitney Williamson; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Marie Rudd Williamson; brothers, Wiley Ray Williamson, Phebus Williamson; nephew, Keith Rudd; and brother-in-law, Elvis Rudd.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm on Friday, May 28, 2021 at the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. V.L. Williamson.
