Thomas Merrick

Mr. Thomas Royce Merrick, age 62, of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away on May 12, 2013, at his home in Kenton. Funeral services for Mr. Merrick will be conducted on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Kenton with Bro. Mickey Hanks officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery of Kenton. Mr. Merrick was born May 17, 1950, in Gibson County; the son of Omecia Ashmore Merrick and the late Carmon Merrick. He served his country with the US Air Force. Military honors will be observed. Mr. Merrick is survived by his mother, Omecia Merrick (Since this posting, Thomas' mother has passed away and her service will be held with his.); sisters, Christy (Steve) Skelton of Dyer, Denise (Paul) Freeman of Bartlett; brother, David Allen (Amy) Merrick of Kenton; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father. The family will receive friends from 6 - 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Thomas Royce Merrick.
