Stanley Ray Carson

Mr. Stanley Ray Carson, age 79 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at home. Funeral services for Mr. Carson will be conducted on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Lane Self officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, in Dyer.

He was born November 29, 1940 in Weakley County; the son of the late Robert Leonard and Mildred Lucille Perry Carson. He was a barber and owned Stanley’s Barber Shop in Rutherford; he previously worked at Keathley’s Barber Shop in Kenton, and City Barber Shop in Rutherford.  Mr. Carson was of the Baptist faith and attended Dyer First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Carson; three children, Todd Carson (Melissa), DeeLeah Sullenger (Michael), Madison Carson; two step children, Keisha Hunt (Nathan), Tammy Maxwell (Ronnie); siblings, James Carson (Della), Marshall Carson (Cathy), Billy Carson (Dorothy), Norm Workman, Joe Carson (Jean), Dianne Belote (Rick); four grandchildren, Will & Ty Carson, Annalise Sullenger, Cainan Copeland; three step-grandchildren, Hannah & Alaina Hunt, Noah Maxwell; and four great-great grandchildren, Lucas Ray Baker, Noah Hicks, Brianne & JP Maxwell.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Stanley Ray Carson.
