Mrs. Sonja Jean Williams, age 86 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at her home. Funeral services for Mrs. Williams will be conducted on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 2PM in the chapel of Bethpage Baptist Church with Rev. Tammie Wade and Bro. Greg Lassett officiating. Interment will follow in Bethpage Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Williams will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 12:00 pm. until service time at 2:00 pm. at the Bethpage Baptist Church.

She was born December 13, 1938, in Gibson County, TN, the daughter of the late Carmon & Vernelle Hurst Holt. She worked with the Kellwood Company and worked as a secretary for the Tennessee Dept. of Human Services until her retirement. Mrs. Williams was a longtime and faithful member of Bethpage Baptist Church. 

She is survived by three children, Rhonda Johnstone, Tammie Wade, Terry Williams; brother, Arland (Doris) Holt; five grandchildren, Lyndsey Nelson (Charles) Galyen, Josh (Reagan) Nelson, Carleigh (Robby) Whitley, Cody Johnstone, Nicole (Holden) Shamlin; and three great-grandchildren, Rockwell & Ridgely Shamlin, and Houston Whitley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Williams, and son, Ronald Williams, and her parents, Carmon and Vernelle Holt.
