Shirley Mae Ramey

Mrs. Shirley Mae Ramey, age 84 of Trenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at home. Funeral services for Mrs. Ramey will be conducted on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 2:00pm in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. John Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery.

She was born June 7, 1938, in Dyer County, TN; the daughter of the late John Massie & Jewell (Sorrells) Mallard.  She was a homemaker and attended New Bethlehem Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband, Marvin Ramey; three children, Debbie Huey (Daniel), James Ramey, Chris Ramey (Cindy); siblings, Liz Henson, Nathan Mallard, Ronnie Mallard, Kathy Gilliland; four grandchildren, April Brewer (Heath), Rachel Lee (Quinton), Amber Ramey, Zach Huey; and eleven great-grandchildren, Trey Williams, Caleb Brewer, David Cole Smith, Hayden Lee, Amy Lee, Gage Lee, Willow Lee, Paisley Carpenter, Daxton Howland, Harrison Brewer, and Rebeca Brewer. She was preceded in death by one brother, James “Bosco” Mallard.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm – 8:00pm on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Shirley Mae Ramey.
