Ruth Meadows

Ruth Ann Pierce Meadows, 65, died Friday, March 8, at Jackson General Hospital. She was born in Hornsby, TN, on July 30, 1947, to Malcolm Pierce and Ruth Sanderfer Pierce. She was their only child. She received a B.A. degree from Lambuth College in Jackson, TN and a B.S. degree in Education from Memphis State University. She was a teacher in Hardeman County School system for 24 years. She was married to Robert Davis Meadows. They lived many years in Hornsby, TN before moving to Lawrenceburg. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, who passed away in 2002. Visitation will be at Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer, TN on Tuesday, March 12, from 1-2 p.m. Graveside service will follow with Rev. John Coleman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Mid-South Division, P.O. Box 94098, Birmingham, AL 35220-4098.
