Ruth Baucom

Mrs. Ruth Marie Baucom, age 90, of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on December 21, 2012, at Union City Baptist Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Baucom will be conducted on Sunday, December 23, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Brian Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery of Kenton. Mrs. Baucom was born November 5, 1922, in Gibson County; the daughter of the late Turner and Ruby Dowland. She retired as an inspector at Brown Shoe Company. Mrs. Baucom is survived by her son, Harold Baucom; three grandchildren; Lee McGreger, Steve McGreger, Cheryl Haste; six great-grandchildren, Melissa Harden, Ryan McGreger, Laura Jewell, Cody Haste, Alina McGreger, Robert McGreger; two great-grandchildren, Ethen Hardin, Chase Hardin, and one sister, Doris Gaither. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Lloyd Baucom; her daughter Joyce Marie McGregor, and two sisters, Mary Dell Woods and Martha Nell Bursie.
