Ruby Lurliene Long

Mrs. Ruby Lurliene Long, age 87 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Friday, July 17, 2020, at Van Ayer Healthcare & Rehab in Martin. Funeral services for Mrs. Long will be conducted on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Union Grove Cemetery, in Kenton.

She was born January 29, 1933 in Trimble, TN; the daughter of the late Lawton & Elizabeth Fagan Jones. She worked as a salesclerk at Reeds Market in Kenton before retiring and was a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ.

She is survived by children, Nancy Fortner (Ronnie), Kenneth Long (Carolyn), Diane Mealer; daughter in law, Emily Long; siblings, Thelma Younger Davis, Walter Jones, Tom Jones; grandchildren, Nikki Callins, Kandace Jackson, Amber Pentecost, Russell Long, Jason Long, Christopher Long, Stacey Long, Jessica Woods, Cody Carlton, Austin Carlton; and twenty-two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Long; son, Joe Long; and siblings, Earl Jones, Leroy Jones, Harry Jones, Herbert Ray Jones, and Mattie Lee Jones.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am – 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 17, 2020 at the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home.
