Rosell Askew Cole April 8th, 1926 - October 10th, 2018 Mrs. Rosell Askew Cole age 92 of Trenton , Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, October 10th, 2018, at home. Funeral services for Mrs. Cole will be conducted on Friday, October 12th, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Karnes & Son Funeral Home - Dyer Chapel with Bro. John Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery, in Dyer, Tennessee. She was born April 8th, 1926 in Big Sandy , Tennessee; the daughter of Guy and Maine (Cuthberson) Askew. She was a factory worker at Kellwood Company, and a member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church. She is survived by special friend, Jack Davidson; children, Wayne Shanklin (Judy), Larry Shanklin (Carol), Vanessa Gray (Roger), Rose Shanklin, Sherrie Ross (Bob); siblings, Douglas Askew, A.G. Askew, Mary Watkins; eight grandchildren; twenty-two great children; and one great-great grandchild . She was preceded in death by her parents; first spouse, Norman Shanklin; second spouse, Odie Cole; one grandchild, Robert Ross; and one great grandchild, Addison Ross. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the Kirkland Cancer Center (Jackson), or New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dyer. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 12th, 2018 , from 11:30 am-2:00 pm at Karnes & Son Funeral Home - Dyer Chapel.
