Robert Lyndell Powell

Robert Lyndell Powell, affectionally known as “Goob”, age 56 of Trenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at his home. Memorial services for Mr. Powell will be conducted on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 2:00pm in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bishop Larry Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Keeley Cemetery, in Trenton.

He was born May 21, 1966, in Trenton, TN; the son of Robert Eugene Powell & Nyoka Jean (Branch) Metzinger. Goob was retired from construction work where he was a welder.

He is survived by his mother, Nyoka Jean Metzinger; daughter, Savannah Powell; son, Stephen Powell; siblings, Roger Powell (Sandy), Michael Powell (Debbie), Jackie Parlow, Juston Powell, Marlon Powell (Denise), Sally Arnold (Chuck); and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Eugene Powell; and son, David Powell.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm – 2:00pm on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Robert “Goob” Lyndell Powell.
