Robert Mcgarrity

Mr. Robert Larry McGarrity, age 71, of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on October 22, 2014, at Regional Hospital of Jackson. Funeral services for Mr. McGarrity will be conducted on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Rutherford Church of Christ with Benny McVay, Jerry Bell, and Jeremy Blount officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford Cemetery of Rutherford, Tennessee. Mr. McGarrity was born May 6, 1943, in Dyer County, Tennessee; the son of the late Robert Thomas and Flora Ermer Creasy McGarrity. Mr. McGarrity retired as shipping supervisor at Plastech Corporation. Mr. McGarrity is survived by his wife, Laura Hicks McGarrity; three children, Kelli McGarrity Blount and husband Jeremy, Jennifer McGarrity Crawford and husband Mark, Amy McGarrity Paschall and husband Jonny; and seven grandchildren, Jackson Blount, Keegan Blount, Parker Paschall, Lakyn Paschall, Sara Paschall, Gavin Paschall, and Collin Crawford. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. at Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Rutherford on Friday, October 24.
