Rebecca Pierce

Mrs. Rebecca Modean Pierce, age 86, of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on October 12, 2014, at the Dyer Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Pierce will be conducted on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Rutherford with Roger Utter officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford Cemetery of Rutherford, Tennessee. Mrs. Pierce was born October 7, 1928, in Gibson County, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Earnest and Lorene Davidson French. Mrs. Pierce retired as a Utility Supervisor at Kellwood Company. Mrs. Pierce is survived by children, Charles C. Pierce and wife Diane, David L. Pierce and wife Paula, and Brenda Roberts; grandchildren, Cindy Hall, Tony Sanders, Tammy Stevens, Kim Kelly, and Kristen Pierce; also by eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Leanos Oliver Pierce; daughter, Bettye L. Sanders and grandchildren, Nicky Pierce and Angie Sanders. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15.
