Porter Earl Mealer

Porter Earl Mealer, age 72 of Lafayette, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mr. Mealer will be conducted on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 10:00am in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Copeland officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Trenton.

He was born August 18, 1949, in Camden, TN; the son of the late Coleman and Florence Hubb Mealer. He was a security guard for V.F. Industries until his retirement.

He is survived by two children, April White (Philip) and Chris Mealer (Michelle); two sisters, Bessie Gathins and Betty Webb; and three grandchildren, Cody White, Matthew White, and Logan White. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Mealer; his parents; and sisters, Rachel Mealer, Frances Mealer, Annie Lou Marbry, Nancy Langley, Jewel Richardson, Loretta Mealer, and Minnie Powell.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm – 8:00pm on Friday, October 29, 2021, at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Porter Earl Mealer.
