Peggy Ann Wilson

December 13, 1946 — September 26, 2021

Peggy Ann Wilson, age 74 of Newbern, Tennessee, passed away peacefully from this life on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at her daughters’ home with family and Hospice by her side. Graveside services for Ms. Wilson will be conducted on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Bert Burkett officiating.  

She was born December 13, 1946, in Mississippi; the daughter of the late Johnnie Woodson DeVore & Addie Ann Brown DeVore.  She moved to Yorkville, TN in 1976. She worked at Kellwood, Bryan Plastics, and 5M Apparel; was a survivor of breast cancer and skin cancer. She loved her family most of all.

She is survived by her significant other, of 37 years, “Rusty” Henry Warren of Yorkville; four daughters, Margaret Doss (Glynn) of Trenton, Sandra Douglas of Chattanooga, Dana Bryant (James) of Dyer, Rhonda Dabbs (James) of Trenton; fourteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.  Siblings also survive her, John Houston “Moody” DeVore, Jewell Creech, Charlene Inez Ferrell, Audie Dale Cannon; and a host of nieces, and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and three siblings, Daniel DeVore, Carl DeVore, and Elsie Brooks.
