Paula West

Paula Wainscott West, age 85, of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday December 22, 2021, at The Waters Nursing Home in Union City, TN. Private graveside services will be conducted on Monday, December 27, 2021, at 10:00am in Rutherford Cemetery, Rutherford, TN. Her immediate family will celebrate the life of Paula, with interment to immediately follow.

Paula was born April 9, 1936, in Martin, TN; the first-born daughter of Paul and Elizabeth Wainscott. After graduating from Kenton High School, she went to work for the Human Services Department of the State of Tennessee – where she served for more than 40 years before retirement. Mrs. West was a devoted sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Kenton, TN.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe L. West; an infant brother, Billy Wainscott; and her sister, Jeanie Wainscott. 

She is survived by her sister, Allison Stinson (Bobby); and daughters, Charlotte Martin (Eddie) and Melynda Tidwell (Chris). She is also survived by her grandsons, David Robles, Michael Robles, and Brady Tidwell (Blair).

Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Martin, David Robles, Michael Robles, Chris Tidwell, Brady Tidwell, and Will Riley.
