Orval Gray Comstock

Mr. Orval Gray Comstock, age 95 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at Tennessee State Veterans Home. Graveside services for Mr. Comstock will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM, at Oakwood Cemetery in Dyer. The service will be conducted by Bro. Lane Self and Mr. Comstock’s dear friend, Jim Acree.

He was born in Kenton, Tennessee; the son of the late Robert and Willie Mae Comstock. He was a member of the First Baptist Church since 1950. Mr. Comstock retired from Brown Shoe Company in 1989.

Mr. Comstock is survived by son, Don Comstock (Debbie), daughter, Diane Dameron (Larry); two grandsons, Donald Comstock, and Chad Rowland; four great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Easton Comstock, and Tyler and Casen Rowland. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen Comstock; three brothers; and two sisters.

Mr. Comstock served our country in World War II and is a recipient of a Purple Heart.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church in Dyer.
