Noraine Becton

Ms. Noraine Becton, age 96, of Trenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on July 20, 2013, at the Dyer Nursing Home. Funeral services for Ms. Becton will be conducted on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Dyer with Bro. Bill Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery of Dyer. Ms. Becton was born September 18, 1916, in Dyer, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Willie Ben and Annie Toothman Becton. She owned and operated Dickey’s Furniture of Trenton. Ms. Noraine was a member of the First Methodist Church in Trenton and the DAR. Mrs. Becton is survived by her nieces and nephews, Jane Pitt Harrison, Sandra Becton Hall, Brenda Becton Griggs, and Earl Ray Pitt. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be sent to the American Cancer Society or First United Methodist Church of Trenton. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, August 3 at the Mt.
