Nina Petty

Mrs. Nina May Long Petty, age 76, of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on December 6, 2014, at her home. Memorial services for Mrs. Petty will be conducted on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Dyer with Bro. Marlon Stephens officiating. Mrs. Petty was born April 12, 1938, in Kenton, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Alva Huey and Ola May Flowers Long. She retired as a clerk for the Tennessee Department of Education. Mrs. Petty is survived by siblings, Lillian Jones and husband William J., Betty Toro and husband Juan D., Alice Fay Long Brown, and Janis Long Paschall and husband Larry. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Huey P. Long, and Dorothy Wagster. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday before service time. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Nina May Long Petty.
