Mrs. Myrtle Woods Ross, age 92 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Dyer Nursing Home. Graveside services for Mrs. Ross will be conducted on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 2PM at North Union Cemetery in Kenton with Bro. Hobert Walker officiating. 

Mrs. Myrtle Woods Ross was born January 19, 1932, in Parsons, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Ezra and Nellie Gibson Woods. She was a retired factory worker and farmer, along with being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a Baptist in her faith.

Mrs. Myrtle Woods Ross is survived by two daughters, Sheila McWherter and husband Jim, Deborah Sawyer and husband Dale; two sons, Ronnie Ross, Bob Ross (Sherry)’ six grandchildren, Brandon McWherter, Amy Gray, Chelsey Elliott, Ashton Petty, Michael Ross, Cati Sawyer; seventeen great-grandchildren, Tyler Davis, Grayvan Davis, Eli Davis, Hannah McWherter, Maddie McWherter, Ross Elliott, Beau Elliott, Reed Elliott, Emma Hill, Ty Autry, Jensyn Petty, Oakleigh White, Millison White, Cohen White, Hudson Sawyer, Brody Ross, and Isabella Ross. She was preceded in death by her husband, Damon Ross; her infant daughter, Sylvia Jean Ross; her parents; daughter-in-law, Lesa Flowers Ross; siblings, Ola Mae Bawcum, Gertrude Oliver, Mary Lou Demming, and Willie Cross; grandson, Robert Ross; and great-granddaughter, Norah Annalese Elliott.
