Myra Butler

Mrs. Myra Jean (Gatlin) Butler of Rutherford, TN. passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at her home in Rutherford. She was 63 years old. A memorial service will beheld for her at the Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Rutherford on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation for family and friends starting at 12:30 p.m. Brother Robert Clark will officiate. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lona Dock Gatlin and Mary Helen (Kirk) Huey, also one sister, Lona Marie Kingston, and a brother, Henry Lindsey "H. L." Gatlin. Myra is survived by her husband of 32 years: John Edward Butler, two sisters; Joyce Ernestine Corbin of Trenton, TN. and Glenda Kaye Hall of Cordova, TN. She had three children, two sons, and one daughter; Bobby Deon Brewer, Kevin Lee Brewer, and Tracey Helene Triplett. Myra also had ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Myra was a Jehovah's Witness and had been for over 38 years, she devoted much of her time and energy to expressing her faith to others. She will be dearly missed by many.
