Maxine Holcomb

Mrs. Maxine Wilson Holcomb, age 74, of Troy, Tennessee, passed away from this life on July 8, 2013, at her home. Graveside services for Mrs. Holcomb will be conducted on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Alamo Baptist Church Cemetery of Rives, Tennessee with Bro. Mickey Hanks officiating. Interment will follow. Mrs. Holcomb was born August 19, 1938, in Mason Hall, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Bill and Alice Johnson Wilson. She worked at Central Electric before retirement. Mrs. Holcomb was a member of First Baptist Church of Kenton. Mrs. Holcomb is survived by her son, Steve Lester and wife Donna; daughters, Theresa Garrett, Lisa Thompson and husband Jim, and Donna Albright; loving caretaker, John McCoy; sisters, Helen James and Joyce Mabry; brother, Bonney Wilson; 11 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Faye Lester; her parents; a sister, Redgia Vanmeter, and a brother, James Wilson. The family will receive friends from 5:30-9:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10 at Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Kenton. We are honored to serve the family of Mrs. Maxine Wilson Holcomb.
