Mary Evelyn Wilson

Mrs. Mary Evelyn Fletcher Wilson, age 91 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Trenton Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson will be conducted on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at 3:30pm in the chapel of First Baptist Church in Rutherford with Bro. Andy Mayfield officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford Cemetery with James Thomas Harris officiating.

She was born November 7, 1930, in Dyer, TN; the daughter of the late Early B. & Lona Bridger Fletcher. She worked in the accounting office of Kellwood before her retirement and was a member of First Baptist Church of Rutherford.  In fact, Mrs. Mary Evelyn played the church organ for 50+ years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Wilson; son, Robert Wilson (Deloris); grandson, Matthew Wilson (Jaime); and great granddaughter, Claire Wilson.  She was preceded in death by siblings, Command Sgt. Mgr. Charles Fletcher, and Dorothy Reinhardt.

The family will receive friends from 2:30pm – 3:30pm on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Rutherford. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Mary Evelyn Fletcher Wilson.
