Mary Williams

Mrs. Mary Evelyn Mercer Williams, age 81, of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on May 13, 2013, at the Dyer Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Williams will be conducted on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Kenton with Bro. Larry Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery of Kenton. Mrs. Williams was born on February 21, 1932, in Gibson County; the daughter of the late John I. and Cora Armstrong Mercer. She worked as a bookkeeper at First State Bank and was a member of the Kenton Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Williams is survived by two daughters, Jan (Steve) McGreger, Jane (Nelson) Dorton; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, one brother Dwight (Cherry Joe) Mercer. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Paul Raymond Williams, parents, sister, Ann Anderson, and brother, R. T. Mercer. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14.
