Mary Jones

Mrs. Mary Helen Jones, age 91, of Dyer, Tennessee, passed from this life on February 28, 2012, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Jones will be conducted on Saturday, March 3, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Dyer with Bro. Jim Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery of Dyer. Mrs. Jones was born April 25, 1920, in Gibson County; the daughter of the late Charlie and Jennie Priest Mount. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Dyer First United Methodist Church for many years. Mrs. Jones is survived by her spouse, Eddie Jones; step-daughter, Gail Emrich of Kenton; step-son, Gary Jones of Monticello, Florida; two grandchildren, Lisa (David) Brewer and Allison Emrich and two great-grandsons, Clay and Austin Brewer. She is also survived by a nephew, Johnny McCurdy and his wife Jane of Dyer; great-niece, Amy Mcurdy Richardson, husband Dana, and daughters Jessie and Jennie, and great-nephew, Chris McCurdy, wife Leslie, and daughters, Hallie, Ellea Kate, and son Knox. She was preceded in death by her first spouse, Charles Bryant, her parents, a sister, Mable McCurdy; and brothers, Pierce Mount and Walter Edward Mount. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, March 2. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Mary Helen Jones.
