Mary Hollis

Mrs. Mary Belle Hollomon Hollis, age 95, of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on February 11, 2015, at the Milan General Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Hollis will be conducted on Friday, February 13, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Rutherford. Interment will follow in North Union Cemetery of Kenton, Tennessee. Mrs. Hollis was born September 3, 1919, in Mason Hall, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Will Nat and Georgia Clark Hollomon. Mary Belle retired as a clerk after many years of service at Gill’s Jewelry Store in Rutherford. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rutherford. Mrs. Hollis is survived by daughter, Mary Jane Smith and husband Nathan; sons, Joe Ledsinger and wife Brenda and Jere Ledsinger and wife Janet; her sister, Nettie B. Moore; and grandchildren, Chesleigh, Ben, Christy, Rita, Karl, Jeff, Jill, Jerianne and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by spouses, Doog Ledsinger and L. D. Hollis; sister, Frances Wade; and brother, Buddy Hollomon. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 12.
