Marvin Clark

Mr. Marvin Eugene “Gene” Clark, age 81, of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on June 19, 2013, at the Dyer Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mr. Clark will be conducted on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Rutherford with Bro. Mark Warren officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford Cemetery of Rutherford, Tennessee. Mr. Eugene Clark was born October 14, 1931 in Dyer County, Tennessee; the son of the late Rueben and Iona Everett Clark. He was a cabinet maker by trade. Mr. Clark also served his country with the US Army in Korea and was a deacon of the First Baptist Church in Rutherford. Mr. Clark is survived by his spouse, Dorothy King Clark; sons, Jack Clark and wife Ruthann, Eddy Clark and wife Christine, Benny Clark and wife Linda; daughter, Tina Blaylock and husband Darrell; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Clark; and sister, Mattie Sue Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold, Reuben “Doc”, and Everett Clark; and a daughter, Kathy Kruger. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, June 21.
