Martha Williams

January 29, 1931-December 18, 2015 Martha Doris Williams, age 84 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on December 18, 2015, at Regional Hospital in Jackson, TN. Funeral services for Doris will be conducted on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 3 pm in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Don Barnett officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Dyer, TN. She was born January 29, 1931 in Dyer County; the daughter of the late Herbert and Loarine Holman Head. She retired after 32 years with Brown Shoe Company in Dyer, TN. She is survived by: three daughters; Brenda Teague (Tommy), Carol Shanklin (Larry), and Pamela Penn (Joe); five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fisher Williams. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm on Monday, December 21, 2015. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Doris Williams. The family requests donations to be made to Dyer 1st United Methodist Church Building Fund and to St. Jude's Hospital.
