Martha Kaye Vanwormer

Mrs. Martha Kaye Vanwormer, age 79 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at home. Memorial services for Mrs. Vanwormer will be conducted on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 1PM in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Stephen Powell speaking. 

She was born October 11, 1944, in Greenwood, MS; the daughter of the late Jack Forrest & Inez Zilphia (Lambeth) Freeman. She worked as a line worker for Oregon Tools before her retirement. 

Martha is survived by her son, Michael Wayne Whitehead; two grandchildren, Ben Whitehead (Bethany), Jerry Wallace Whitehead II; and great-granddaughter, Brylee Whitehead. She was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Scott Whitehead, Jeffery Warren Whitehead; sister, Elizabeth A. Quaranto; and brother, Thomas H. Freeman. 

Visitation will begin 11AM until service time. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Martha Kaye Vanwormer.
