Martha Betts

Martha Betts, age 83 of Milan, Tennessee, passed away from this life on February 29, 2016, at her residence. Funeral services for Martha Betts will be conducted on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 2pm in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer. Interment will follow in Rutherford Cemetery, in Rutherford. She was born September 24, 1932 in Dyer, TN.; the daughter of Myrtle Hays. She was a homemaker. She is survived by five children, Wanda Pierce, Fred Crowe, Sr., Shirley Jean Scarbrough, Priscilla Fouts, and Bobby Downs; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her spouse, J. C. Betts. The family will receive friends from 4-8pm on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer.
