Mark Barker

Mr. Mark Deric Barker, age 53, of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on August 17, 2014, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Barker will be conducted on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at 4:30 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Dyer with Bro. Dewayne Goodgine and Bro. Daymond Duck officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery of Dyer, Tennessee. Mr. Barker was born October 22, 1960; the son of Harold Barker and the late Demetria Pennington Barker. Mr. Barker had a Bachelor’s degree and was a teacher assistant at Gibson County High School. He was Baptist by faith. Mr. Barker is survived by his wife, Susan Reed Barker; daughters, Rachel and Marylee Barker; father, Harold Barker; brother, Mike Barker; and sisters, Leah Lemons, and Lora Dickens. He was preceded in death by his mother; and brother, Tim Barker. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on August 19.
