Marjorie Janette Starnes

Mrs. Marjorie Janette Starnes, age 96 of Trenton, Tennessee, passed peacefully away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at her daughter’s home. Funeral services for Mrs. Starnes will be conducted on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 10:30AM in the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. David Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, in Kenton. 

She was born July 31, 1928, Greenwood, MS; the daughter of the late Earl & Jeffie (Broadway) Kea. She was a homemaker, and of the Baptist faith. 

Mrs. Starnes is survived by three children, Pam (James) Page, Kea Schleifer, Ralph (Gail) Starnes; four grandchildren, Heidi Page Stockdale, Jamie Page, Dudley Schleifer, Megan Starnes Knapek;  three great-grandchildren, Mason Hayes, Jake Hayes, Gracie Schleifer; and great-great grandchild, Noah Grace Vaughn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland V. Starnes; and three brothers, John Kea, Joe Kea, and Ernest Kea. 

The family will receive friends from 10AM-10:30AM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the Kenton chapel. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Marjorie Janette Starnes.
