Mrs. Marilyn Sue Harper, age 75, of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on February 20, 2013, at her home. Memorial services for Mrs. Harper will be conducted on Saturday, February 23, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Dyer with Bro. John Coleman officiating.
Mrs. Harper was born February 12, 1938, in Dyer; the daughter of the late Luna Colburn and the late Mildred Flowers. She was also preceded in death by her spouse, Mr. Elmer Lee Harper. She had retired from factory work to be a homemaker. Mrs. Harper was also a very active long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Mrs. Harper is survived by sons, Roger Harper, Tim Harper; daughters, Audrey Lowe, Lisa Copley Dooley; brothers Marion Flowers, Rodney Colburn, Doc Colburn; sisters, Glenda Faye Baker, Edna Colburn; step-mother Mauline Colburn; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, before service time. Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Dyer is honored to serve the family of Marilyn Sue Harper.
