Louise Morgan

Mrs. Louise K. Morgan, age 94, of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on September 24, 2013, at the Dyer Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Morgan will be conducted on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Dyer with Bro. Randy Potts officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford Cemetery of Rutherford, Tennessee. Mrs. Morgan was born May 1, 1919, in Gibson County, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luther and Ida Lee Savage King. Before retirement she worked at the cotton mill and then Kellwood Company. Mrs. Morgan was a member of White Hall Baptist Church. Mrs. Morgan is survived by her step-son, Charles Gillespie; seven step-grandchildren; 24 step-great-grandchildren; step-brother, Billy Ray King; niece, Elsie Walker; nephew, Jimmy Barron; and sisters-in-law, Ercelle King and Shirley King. She was preceded in death by two spouses, Roger Gillespie and Aliva Mink “Dick” Morgan; her parents; sisters, Willie B. Barron, Helen Smith, Mable Theadford, Arlene Barron, Norma Jean Duck; and brothers, Emerson King, L. H. King, and Ed King. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 before funeral time. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Louise K. Morgan.
