Lehman Webb, age 80, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at home in Springville, Tennessee. Mr. Webb was a resident of Kenton, in Gibson County for 40 years. Funeral services for Mr. Webb will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Kenton. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery of Mason Hall, Tennessee.
Lehman was the son of the late William “Bill” Webb and Willie Louise Nevil Webb of the Clayton community. He was born in Dyer County, May 7, 1934.
Mr. Webb retired from construction work and served with the US Navy during the Korean War. Military honors will be observed.
He is survived by his mother, Willie L. Nevil Webb of Clayton; his wife Alice Sawyer Webb of Springville; and two sisters, Wilma Turner and Vercie Lee Haltom, both in Clayton. He leaves four children, Milton (Xenna) Webb of Springville, Tim (Libby) Webb of Medina, Donna Cunningham of Trenton and John (Dorothy) Webb of Jackson.
Mr. Webb also leaves 13 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren; He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Webb, brother, Billy Webb, and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is especially honored to serve the family of US Navy veteran, Lehman T. Webb.
