Larry Richard Tilley

Mr. Larry Richard Tilley, age 76 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Tilley will be conducted on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 2PM in the chapel of Dyer First Baptist Church with Bro. Doug Barcroft, Bro. Mike Kemper, and Bro. Lane Self officiating. Interment will follow in Goodhope Cemetery.

He was born August 23, 1947, in Brazil, TN; the son of the late Lucian B. & Hautie W. (Williams) Tilley. He worked as a diesel mechanic with Southern Towing Company before his retirement and was a member of Dyer First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Tilley; daughter, Dana McCommon (Chris); siblings, Jerry Don Tilley, Betty Blackburn, Margie Rauche; and two grandchildren, Nathan and Joshua McCommon.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Larry’s Honor to Dyer First Baptist Church-Tanya Taylor Mission Fund for Panama Mission Trips.

The family will receive friends from 5PM-8PM on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Larry Richard Tilley.
