Larry Reed

Mr. Larry Everett Reed, age 71, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. Graveside service for Mr. Reed will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunnyside Cemetery in Kenton with Daniel Hamm officiating. Visitation for Mr. Reed will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Kenton. Mr. Reed was born on September 28, 1943, to the late W.C. and Mattie Fletcher Reed. Mr. Reed was a member of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ, and retired 32 year employee of Goodyear, and worked at Tilghman Chevrolet in earlier years. Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Janey Chaney; one brother, Gerald Reed; and a daughter-in-law Deronda Reed. Mr. Reed is survived by his wife, Carol Reed of Kenton; two sons, Kevin Reed and fiancée Tina Vinson; and Robert Reed and wife, Shawna of Mason Hall; seven grandchildren, Paige Reed of Union City; Mary Beth Riley and husband Jimmy of Troy; Jacob Reed of Rives; Erin Reed of Trenton; David Reed of Trenton; Cassidy Cowan and Novella Cowan of Mason Hall; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Parker of Martin; and one brother, James Reed of Louisiana.
