Larry Joe Alexander

Mr. Larry Joe Alexander, age 71 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Alexander will be conducted on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of New Concord Baptist Church with Bro. Rodney Gregg and Frank Alexander officiating. Interment will follow in New Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, in Kenton.

He was born November 9, 1949 in Trenton, TN; the son of the late Aaron & Georgia Ruth Flowers Alexander. He was a factory worker at Milan Box Company, and member of New Concord Baptist Church. He served his country with the United States Air Force.

He is survived by four children, David Alexander, Brian Alexander, Frank Alexander (Cheryl), Kelly Alexander; two stepchildren, Michael Parker (Valerie), David Corpier; siblings, Barbara Schuff, Cathy Hubble (Jerry), Jimmy Alexander (James), Van Alexander (Gale), Michael Alexander; brother in law, Ray Parker (Beverly); seven grandchildren, Addie Alexander, Bella Alexander, Camryn Alexander, Carlee Alexander, Caleb Alexander, Chloe Alexander, Espen Alexander; six step-grandchildren, Hiliary Permenter, Chynna Parker, Austin Corpier, Hailey Corpier, Jessie Corpier, Morgan Corpier; and two step great-grandchildren, Ellie Permenter, Eryn Finley Tate. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruby Sue Alexander (Feb. 2021); son, Kevin Corpier; and his parents.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm -3:00 pm on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at New Concord Baptist Church. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Larry Joe Alexander.
